Health Protection Agency (HPA) has said that cases of chickenpox was most reported in June.

HPA said that, compared to the previous years, cases of chickenpox began increasing starting from the 22nd week of this year.

The cases of chickenpox was most reported in Male', Villimale', Hulhumale', and Seenu Atoll.

HPA's statistics show that 172 cases were reported in February. 145 in March, 155 in April, 209, in May, 242 in June, and 202 in July.

The agency stated that while cases of chickenpox increased from April to June, the cases reported were fewer in July.
