The police are investigating the case
A break-in at the courthouse in Milandhoo island of Shaviyani atoll has resulted in the theft of a total of MVR 7,000.
Ahmed Siyam, deputy president of the island’s local government council, said that the break-in occurred on Tuesday night.
Siyam said that the culprits had entered through a room used to keep individuals in detention after having forced their way in.
The police are investigating the case.
