Vehicles banned from entering, parking in road construction sites
The ministry stated that the road from the Hulhumale’ terminal to Marrybrown has been closed off
Any vehicle that parks in the area will be towed and authorities will not be responsible for any damage incurred, stated the ministry

Vehicles have been banned from entering or parking in the sites closed off for road development in Male’ and Hulhumale’.

The housing ministry stated that the development of the road connecting to the Sinamale’ bridge is a high priority for the ministry.

The ministry stated that the road from the Hulhumale’ terminal to Marrybrown has been closed off and that the Transport Authority had previously notified vehicles not to park in the area.

Any vehicle that parks in the area will be towed and authorities will not be responsible for any damage incurred, stated the ministry.

The main road leading to the bridge is to be widened as part of the road development, with a 16-meter wide lane to be constructed on the eastern and southern side of Male’ with two-meter pavements on either side.

Outer-lying road, Boduthakurufaanu Magu, is to be tarred from the Hulhumale’ ferry terminal to the part of the road that has already been tarred. The stage area at Artificial Beach has been removed and all the trees have been cut down as part of the expansion project. The ministry has stated that it will plant more trees during the development.
