A woman has been left critically injured after a car and a motorcycle collided into one another in Addu City.
The accident occurred at around 04:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
RaajjeMV understands that two women were injured in the collision.
An official at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital revealed that one of the injured women was in critical condition when she had been brought in at around 04:30 p.m.
The woman in critical condition is 24 years of age while the second victim is 17 years of age.
The 24-year-old women was the driver of the motorcycle. She is now receiving treatment for serious injuries, including a skull fracture, in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital.
The hospital revealed that the 17-year-old did not receive much injuries and is in stable condition.
According to the official from Hithadhoo Regional Hospital, they are now preparing to send the 24-year-old to the capital city Male’ for further treatment.
The Maldives Police Service had revealed that they are currently looking into the matter.
