A passenger aboard a plane that left Velana international airport for Koodoo island has died onboard.
RaajjeMV understands that the passenger was an elderly woman native to Kolamafushi island in Gaafu Alifu atoll.
Managing Director of Maldivian, the airline operating the plane, Abdulla Haris described the deceased to have been on her ‘death bed’ for a long time.
Her body has been taken to Kolamafushi.
