BML concludes Wow Kidz Run with over 900 participants
900 children participated in the run, under three categories
Wow Kidz Run by BML and TFG
The annual 'Wow Kidz Run' organized by Bank of Maldives (BML) in partnership with Total Fitness Group (TFG) has been successfully implemented on 5th May, Saturday.
900 children participated in the run under three categories. Since their parents also took part in the event, there were about 1800 participants in total. Therefore while children in the three to five years category started their run in front of BML's Majeedhee Magu branch, the other two categories which were children between five to seven years and seven to nine years, started their run in front of Articial Beach.
The participants were awarded medals by the senior staff of BML and TFG, at the end of their run in front of Social Center.
The children donated the funds raised through the fundraising platform provided by BML, to Care Society at the closing ceremony. A sum of 130,800 MVR was handed over to Care Society by the participants as well a BML's Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Andrew Healy.
Additionally, 15% of the registration fee received by TFG, which amounts to 30,150 MVR, was also donated to Care Society.
