Criminal Court has extended South-Galolhu MP Ahmed Mahloof’s remand for five days on Friday.
MP Mahloof was arrested under the state of emergency decree on March 22.
He has been kept in island prison Dhoonidhoo for 36 days for allegedly protesting in a prohibited area.
Police have filed his case at the Prosecutor General’s office to charge him over terrorism.
Mahloof is also facing three other charges.
