The fire had entirely razed the vessel

Rescue officers have quelled a fire on a diving boat near Guraidhoo of Kaafu Atoll.

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) said that the fire was reported to them at around 10:00 am on Saturday and that officers responded immediately.

The fire had entirely razed the vessel, and it is damaged beyond use.

There was no one onboard the vessel at the time.
