"Rahvehi Tharaggee" Investment Forum: Investment opportunities exceeding $300 million unveiled!

During the forum, 32 islands submitted a total of 76 proposals spanning housing and various commercial sectors, which the party estimates represent investment opportunities exceeding $300 million.

The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has announced that investment opportunities exceeding USD 300 million have been opened at the "Rahvehi Tharaggee" Investment Forum.
The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) held an investment forum titled "Rahvehi Tharaggee" (Local Development) during its 5th National Congress. This marks the first time a political party in the Maldives has organized such an event. The forum is an initiative spearheaded by the party's Chairperson, Mohamed Nasheed.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the forum, President Nasheed stated that the primary objective of the Investment Forum is to improve the economic conditions of local islands and provide residents with the quality of life they seek when migrating to Male' for various services. President Nasheed further emphasized the critical importance of local councils initiating their own projects and the vital necessity of their involvement in the implementation process.
The MDP stated that 76 proposals were submitted from 32 islands across the Maldives during the forum, representing investment opportunities exceeding USD 300 million. The projects proposed by the councils span various sectors, including the establishment of poultry farms and day-care centers, as well as environmental conservation efforts for wetlands and commercial housing developments.
