The Bandidhoo Island Council has stated that the highest number of development projects in the island's history were carried out during the administration of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Speaking on Saturday's "Fashaairu" program, the Vice President of the Bandidhoo Island Council, Ahmed Easa, stated that the previous administration successfully executed and completed numerous projects in alignment with the people's aspirations. He further noted that these initiatives were carried out in close consultation with the community.
Easa stated that during President Solih's administration, several major projects were implemented on the island, including the establishment of a sewerage system, a Fenaka office, and a court building. He further noted that this term marked the most significant period of developmental progress for the island to date.

Furthermore, Easa highlighted the council's development plan for the island during his remarks.
Easa stated that they are committed to executing the work in accordance with the established plan, with waste management being prioritized as the top objective.
Noting that no land plots have been allocated on the island for the past 25 years, Easa stated that the process of handing over land to rightful recipients will proceed at a rapid pace over the coming month. He further noted that the allocation of these plots would lead to a scarcity of available land.
He stated that the people's greatest hope is for the government to fulfill its pledge to reclaim land or protect the island's eroding shoreline. Easa further noted that reclaiming 10 hectares of land would bring significant benefits to the island's overall development.
