Man injured in a stabbing following an altercation in fish market vicinity

A Maldivian man has received medical treatment at IGMH following an assault near the Male' Fish Market. Police have since taken a local man into custody in connection with the incident and have launched a formal investigation into the matter.

A person has been injured in a stabbing incident near the Male' City Fish Market area.

Police reported receiving information regarding an assault that took place near the Male' Fish Market on Wednesday night. Authorities added that a Maldivian man injured in the incident was treated at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Police have confirmed the arrest of a Maldivian man in connection with the case. Authorities stated that an investigation into the matter is currently underway.
