National Awards of Honour and Recognition Presented to 12 Individuals, Association and Company

Utheemu, President Muizzu presented National Awards to 12 individuals in recognition of their outstanding contributions across various fields. The recipients included four individuals who were honored with the National Award of Honour and eight who received the National Award of Recognition.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu presented the National Awards during the official National Day ceremony held on Saturday in HA. Utheemu. The National Award of Honour was conferred upon three individuals and one organization.
In this regard, the awards were presented to Mohamed Amir Ahmed for his contributions to Dhivehi language and literature, Ibrahim Rasheed for building construction and architectural design, the Society for Health Education (SHE) for the healthcare sector, and Najuma Hussain for the field of news and information dissemination.
Furthermore, the National Award of Encouragement was conferred upon seven individuals and one company: Al-Ustaza Hawwa Latheef for her contributions to Islamic awareness, service, and education; Mohamed Naseer for his work in Dhivehi language and literature; Command Sergeant Major Abdulla Saeed for his contributions to Maldivian history; Bison Maldives Pvt Ltd for excellence in construction and architectural design; Arshad Ahmed for his achievements in communications and information technology; Aishath Naura for her contributions to sports; and Ismail Abdul Ghafoor for his work in the visual arts.
The recipients of the National Awards were selected by the National Awards Committee, established by the President. For the National Award of Honour, the President presented recipients with a shield of honour, a commemorative badge, and a certificate. For the National Award of Recognition, recipients were presented with a commemorative plaque and a certificate.
