The National Awards Committee has decided to confer the National Award for Public Service to 66 individuals during this year’s official Independence Day ceremony.
The President’s Office stated that these recipients were selected following the President's decision to honor long-serving employees who have dedicated more than 41 years to the state but had not previously received the award.
The selection process involved the President’s Office compiling service records and submitting them to the National Awards Committee, which then conducted thorough evaluations and interviews to ensure all recipients met the necessary eligibility criteria.
Since the introduction of the National Award for Public Service, the President has annually submitted the names of long-serving individuals to the National Awards Committee for consideration. Following this practice, the President has forwarded the names of individuals who have served the state for over 42 years, and they have subsequently been conferred with the prestigious award.
A total of 130 applications were submitted for the National Award for Public Service by the deadline of June 11. Following a review and interview process by the National Awards Committee, the honors will be conferred upon eligible recipients during the official ceremony marking this year's Independence Day.
