New Radiant Sports Club, a leading team in the Maldivian First Division, has formally completed the transfer of a Brazilian attacker.
In a move driven by club leadership to fortify the roster ahead of the approaching campaign, the team acquired 36-year-old forward Dorielton Gomes Nascimento. His addition builds out an international contingent for the upcoming season that features a fellow Brazilian athlete alongside a pair of Liberian footballers.
Dori launched his professional journey with the top-tier Brazilian side Fluminense. He most recently suited up for Bangladesh Premier League outfit Bashundhara Kings, where he delivered an incredible attacking output of 69 goals across 71 matches. His career background also features time spent competing for Indian teams Odisha FC and Forca Kochi.
Reports indicate that New Radiant committed to paying the forward MVR 350,000 per month to land his signature for the new season. This compensation package represents a pay increase compared to his previous salary with Bashundhara Kings.
The club's ongoing recruitment push involves scouting both domestic and overseas talent to build a stronger squad. Alongside their international acquisitions, New Radiant recently enhanced their roster of local talent by securing the signature of up-and-coming Maldivian player Ethan Ibrahim Zaki.
