Nazil criticizes performance of 20th People’s Majlis, describes outcomes as poor
Speaking at an MDP rally, Nazil stated that the work of the 19th Parliament deserved nothing less than an 'A' or 'A+' grade during its first three years, whereas the current Parliament’s performance is likely to conclude with a mere 'C++' grade.

Ibrahim Nazil, the Member of Parliament for South Hithadhoo and Leader of the MDP Parliamentary Group, has stated that if the performance of the 20th People’s Majlis were to be graded, it would only earn a "C++."
Speaking at the MDP rally held on Thursday night, Nazil stated that the work carried out by the 19th Parliament during its first three years deserved nothing less than an 'A' or 'A+' grade. He further remarked that if the performance of the current Parliament were to be evaluated, it would likely conclude with a grade of 'C++'.
As the People's Majlis marks its 94th anniversary, MP Nazil stated that the current situation is such that parliamentary sittings are only possible due to the efforts of the 13 MDP members. He further asserted that without their contribution, the PNC would not even have an agenda to convene a single session during this term.
For the past three weeks, the Parliament's agenda has consisted solely of questions posed by MDP members to government ministers, with no other legislative business being conducted.Ibrahim Nazil
Furthermore, Nazil stated that the MDP would not engage in wasteful spending on the Rasmalé reclamation project given the country's current situation. He noted that the project would require $250 million for sand filling alone, with an additional $100 million needed for the installation of large rock boulders for coastal protection.
Highlighting that funds would not be squandered on the procurement of drones or the staging of drone shows for the opening of the new airport terminal, Nazil stated that loans would be repaid by eliminating such wasteful expenditures.
He further stated that no party other than the MDP would know how to effectively deliver for the people.
