Applications open for membership on the LGA Board

The President's Office has opened applications for three seats on the Local Government Authority (LGA) board as the current members' terms are set to expire. Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications by 12:00 PM on the 29th of this month.

The President's Office on Tuesday opened applications for membership on the board of the Local Government Authority (LGA).

Applications are now open for membership on the Board of the Local Government Authority (LGA), pursuant to Section 59(a)(2) of Law No. 7/2010 (The Administrative Divisions of the Maldives Decentralization Act). This opening follows the upcoming expiration of the terms of three current board members.

The President's Office has stated that application forms for these positions are available for download on its official website.

The President's Office will accept applications from Tuesday through Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Submissions will be open on working days between 08:30 AM and 12:00 PM.
