Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has expressed his condolences following the passing of the former Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
He extended his condolences in a social media post shared earlier on Sunday.
In his message, President Solih stated that he received the news of the former Emir of Qatar's passing with profound sorrow. He further described Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani as a visionary and formidable leader.
Furthermore, former President Solih highlighted the Amir’s unwavering commitment and the high priority he has accorded to strengthening the close ties between Qatar and the Maldives.
