According to reports, several days have passed since the seaplane docking platform broke loose and drifted ashore.
When contacted by RaajjeTV's "Fashaairu" program on Wednesday morning, a Thoddoo Council official confirmed they were aware of the issue and had notified the relevant authorities to rectify the situation.
Noting that there have been no disruptions to the travel schedule, the official stated that flights are operated every Thursday and Saturday, confirming that a seaplane flight was conducted as scheduled this past Saturday.
Seaplane services to Thoddoo were launched on February 12, 2026. As the island continues to experience significant growth in local tourism, it attracts a high volume of tourists daily. The absence of seaplane operations would result in substantial logistical challenges for many travelers visiting the island.
