The First Couple has visited Thoddoo island in Alif Alif atoll.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed arrived in Thoddoo at around 11am on Wednesday, upon which they were accorded a warm welcome by the island residents.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, Thoddoo council revealed that the president arrived in Thoddoo to attend a lunch banquet hosted by Thoddoo women, on the occasion of Eid-Al-Adha
The activity was held to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Eid-Al-Adha, on the island.
The first couple headed back Malé City after wrapping up the Eid banquet, on Wednesday afternoon.
Several activities have been planned for Eid-Al-Adha, in Thoddoo, which commenced on Tuesday evening. Some other activities the island community is scheduled to engage in include the traditional ‘Bodu Mas’, ‘Maali’ as well as a fireworks display and the mandatory Eid show.
