Superintendent of Police Arif appointed as official MPS spokesperson

Superintendent of Police Ahmed Arif has been appointed as the official spokesperson for the Maldives Police Service.
The police announced his appointment to the position on Sunday.
The appointment follows a vacancy in the position after Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Shifan was removed from his role as the police spokesperson.
Following this change, the police institution has announced that Superintendent Ahmed Arif will now take the lead in providing information to the media and managing the organization's public communications.
Neither the police nor Shifan have disclosed the reasons behind his removal from the position he previously held.
