Police and local residents have successfully extinguished a fire that broke out at a fiberglass workshop in Sh. Milandhoo, with no injuries reported in the incident. Although there were no casualties, the blaze caused extensive structural damage to the building and destroyed three dinghies, several boat-building molds, and a significant amount of equipment and materials.

A major fire has broken out at a fiber workshop in Sh. Milandhoo, causing extensive damage to the facility and the equipment inside.
According to the police, a fire was reported at a fiberglass workshop in Milandhoo at approximately 23:09 on the night of June 1, 2026.
Upon receiving reports of the incident, police officers and local residents launched a joint effort to extinguish the fire.
Through the collaborative efforts of the police and members of the public, the fire was successfully extinguished by approximately 1:00 a.m. that night. While no injuries were reported in the incident, the fire caused significant damage to both the building and the property inside.
Providing details on the damages caused by the fire, police stated that three dinghies and several molds used for boatbuilding were destroyed. Additionally, a significant amount of equipment and materials used for fiberglass work was lost in the blaze.
Furthermore, police reported that the building used for fiberglass work sustained varying degrees of damage.
Police are currently conducting a further investigation into the matter to determine the cause of the incident.
