MTCC commences physical work of Sh. Milandhoo harbor project

Sh. Milandhoo harbor development project
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has commenced the physical work of the Harbor Development Project of Milandhoo island in Shaviyani atoll.
MTCC on 28 May, disclosed that the company commenced physical works of the project on 16 May. As such, the company notes that the harbor basin dredging work is currently ongoing at the site.
The Milandhoo Island Harbor Development Project entails dredging for a new harbor basin totaling 70,400 cubic meters, a maintenance basin of 17,900 cubic meters, and a channel basin of 8,400 cubic meters.
A 583-meter breakwater, a 93-meter revetment, a 311-meter quay wall, and 15-meter groynes are all part of the project's scope of work.
Along with building a 20 meter by 3 meter bridge and a 54 meter by 3 meter bridge, MTCC will also be building a 130 meter by 2 meter concrete jetty on the island.
The project also entails the development of a 3,789 square meter harbor pavement as well as mooring buoys, navigational aids, and port lights.
The value of the project is MVR 75.42 million.
