The President of the Employment Tribunal, Ishaq Hussain, has resigned from his post.
He resigned from his position on Thursday. However, neither he nor the President's Office has disclosed the reason for his resignation.
The Employment Tribunal is a statutory body established under the Employment Act to adjudicate labor-related disputes. Ishaq was appointed as the President of the Tribunal in April 2024.
The Employment Tribunal, which is composed of nine members, currently includes Vice President Fathimath Maheera Mohamed, alongside members Shaheema Saleem, Sausan Ali, Mariyam Rishfa, Hikma Ahmed Nizar, Ishara Abdul Azeez, Fathimath Sausan, and Hassan Ibrahim.
