Speaker Maseeh's brother, Dr. Fazeel Najeeb appointed as State Minister

President Abdulla Yameen has appointed Dr. Fazeel Najeeb as the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
While the appointment was announced on Sunday, the President's Office said that it was made on Wednesday, the 20th of September.
Dr. Najeeb, who has a Master's Degree in International Business Law from Britain, started his public service in 1987, at the Trade Ministry, where he worked till 2004 at different levels.
He had also served as the Governor at the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), for five years from 2008.
Dr. Najeeb is the younger sibling of Parliament Speaker Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed.
