Upon assuming office, the President initially formed the largest cabinet in the country's history, consisting of 22 ministers. However, following these latest changes, the cabinet has been streamlined to 15 ministers.

It has been decided that Attorney General Ahmed Usham does not require a new vote of confidence, as there have been no changes to his official mandate.

As the new cabinet was formed, several former ministers were reassigned to different portfolios. Additionally, four new members were appointed to the cabinet for the first time. The newly appointed ministers are Heena Waleed, Geela Ali, Iruthisham Adam, and Ali Shareef.

According to the President's Office, half of the 20-member cabinet resigned to pave the way for the positive changes the President intends to implement in alignment with public sentiment. The office further stated that these changes reflect the President's decision to strengthen government administration and expedite the fulfillment of pledges made to the people.
