Minister of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology Ali Ihusaan was unable to confirm whether any disciplinary action has been taken against the police officers involved in the incident where Hawwa Yumnu Rasheed fell from the ninth floor of H. Fentenoy onto the roof of H. Mithaaz.

Responding to questions at a press conference held on Thursday, Ihusaan stated that established mechanisms are in place to address issues arising from various police investigations and internal inquiries, encompassing a range of disciplinary actions. He noted that these measures include administrative actions, formal warnings, and dismissal from service, emphasizing that disciplinary action is not limited solely to termination of employment.
The Minister stated that following the incident, numerous changes have been implemented within the police force regarding the procedures for handling various cases.

The Minister stated that the police have also taken into account the recommendations for improvement outlined in the inquiry report compiled following the incident.
Regarding the specific angle you mentioned in this case, I will need to verify with the police exactly what steps have been taken in our investigation so far before I can provide you with that information. I will look into addressing this matter for you during the next police press conference.Minister of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology Ali Ihusaan
