Maimoon arrested during protest: Reports indicate severe mistreatment and injuries!
Concerns have been raised over the serious injuries sustained by Ahmed Maimoon, Vice President of the MDP Youth Wing, during his arrest at a protest on Saturday night. Maimoon reportedly suffered significant injuries to his head and shoulders, while a member of the MDP National Congress was also taken into police custody during the demonstration.

Ahmed Maimoon Mohamed, Vice President of the MDP Youth Wing, has sustained serious injuries following a violent arrest by the police.
Maimoon was arrested on Saturday night during a protest organized by the MDP. He was taken into custody in handcuffs.
Following his arrest, MDP’s Legal Director Ahmed Mauroof visited the Henveiru Police Station to meet with him. Reports indicate that Maimoon sustained significant injuries during the incident. Specifically, he has reportedly suffered injuries to both his head and shoulders.
Photos obtained by RaajjeMV show Maimoon with a deep gash on his forehead, visibly bleeding from the injury.
As the MDP continues its series of protests, concerns are mounting over police interference and the escalating use of disproportionate force against demonstrators.
In addition to Maimoon, the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) National Congress member for the Naifaru constituency has also been taken into police custody. Protesters have called for their immediate release.
