Missing person from Kulhudhuffushi City found dead
Sulaiman Hussain, 59, who was reported missing from Kulhudhuffushi City, has been found dead underwater at the island's Bodavakivaa beach. Although he was located and transported to the hospital shortly after the disappearance was reported to the authorities, doctors confirmed he was already deceased upon arrival. The police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A man reported missing from Kulhudhuffushi City has been found dead.
Police have reported that a case involving a missing 59-year-old Maldivian man from Kulhudhuffushi City was brought to their attention at approximately 1:48 p.m. on April 15, 2026.
While the search was underway, the individual was discovered underwater at Bodavakiwaa Beach around 3:00 p.m. on April 15, 2026. Police stated that he was immediately transported to the hospital. However, medical authorities have confirmed that he was deceased upon arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Sulaiman Hussain of Badifasgadu, HDh. Kulhudhuffushi.
The police are currently investigating the matter.
