Six individuals arrested in Male' in possession of a large quantity of narcotics
Following an operation conducted on the first of this month, the court has ordered all suspects to be remanded in custody pending further investigation. According to the police, the individuals involved have been remanded for periods ranging from 5 to 15 days.

The Maldives Police Service has announced the arrest of six individuals in Male' following the seizure of a significant quantity of narcotics.
Police stated on Saturday that anti-narcotics operations are being conducted continuously to protect the community from the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
Police confirmed that six individuals were arrested during an operation conducted in Male'.
The individuals arrested in connection with this case have been identified as Mohamed Mahir (36) of Honey Season, Dh. Meedhoo; Ali Eeshad (32) of Sosun, S. Hulhudhoo; Ahil Ali (23) of G. Kandumaageaage, Male'; Rikzu Adam (23) of Five Rose, Gdh. Thinadhoo; Mohamed Suhan Ahmed (39) of Dhunthari, Lh. Hinnavaru; and Abdul Majid Ibrahim (38) of Matharesmaage, Mukurimagu, L. Gan.
Police stated that a joint operation conducted by Counter-Narcotics Intelligence and Drug Enforcement on April 1 led to the arrest of the suspects. Following their apprehension, authorities searched two locations in Male' under a court order, where a significant quantity of narcotics was discovered.
Following their court appearance to determine their detention status in connection with this case, the court has ordered Ali Eeshad, Mohamed Mahir, Abdul Maajid Ibrahim, and Mohamed Suhaan Ahmed to be remanded in custody for 15 days. Additionally, Ahil Ali was remanded for 12 days, while Rikzu Adam was ordered to be held for five days.
The police are currently investigating the matter.
