Dispatch of election materials to atolls begins
The Elections Commission has announced that the transportation of essential supplies to 347 polling stations across the atolls is currently underway via sea and air.

The Elections Commission has announced that the distribution of essential materials to the atolls for the Local Council and Women's Development Committee elections, as well as the public referendum scheduled for April 4, is set to begin this Saturday.
The Elections Commission has announced that the transport of necessary materials to 347 polling stations across the atolls is being conducted via sea and air. The Commission stated that its staff are carrying out these logistics with the assistance of the Maldives Police Service.
The Elections Commission has announced that election materials are scheduled to be dispatched by air on Saturday to Haa Alif, Raa, Thaa, Laamu, Gaafu Alif, and Gaafu Dhaalu atolls, as well as Fuvahmulah City and Addu City. The Commission further stated that materials for Haa Dhaalu, Shaviyani, Noonu, Baa, Lhaviyani, Alif Alif, Alif Dhaalu, Vaavu, Meemu, Faafu, and Dhaalu atolls will be transported via sea routes.
The Elections Commission has announced that the delivery of election-related materials to the islands of Kaafu Atoll is scheduled for March 30 and 31.
The upcoming elections scheduled for this Saturday will see voters casting their ballots to elect members for local councils and Women's Development Committees. In addition to these elections, a public referendum is also slated to be held on the same day to gather the citizens' views on a specific matter.
