Member of Parliament for the Baarah constituency, Ibrahim Shujau, has stated that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is governing the nation with utmost honesty, integrity, and sincerity while observing the fast during the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking in Parliament on Sunday, MP Shujau stated that the MDP is spreading misinformation regarding the appointment of non-resident ambassadors to various countries, characterizing it as an expensive endeavor. However, he remarked that the members of the MDP appear to be unaware of how international diplomatic practices function.
MP Shujau criticized the MDP, noting that the party consistently portrays positive national developments in a negative light. He stated that their actions are intended to mislead the public and clarified that the current administration is not seeking to merge the two elections. He further explained that while the elections are held on the same day, they remain separate processes. He emphasized that the Women’s Development Committee election and the Local Council election are distinct and separate electoral contests.
Furthermore, Shujau stated that the legislature does not necessarily need to be in session every day, adding that sittings would be held whenever there is business to conduct. He accused the MDP of attempting to misrepresent this matter. He also highly praised President Muizzu, noting that the President is leading the nation with great honesty, integrity, and sincerity while observing the fast during the month of Ramadan.
