MDP presents policies to the people, while PNC presents "bags of cash": Ziyad
Ziyad criticized the opposition, stating that their only tools appear to be a black bag and a notebook, adding that it remains unclear whether this reflects the party's formal policy or merely its internal culture.

Member of Parliament for the Vaikaradhoo constituency, Hussain Ziyad, has stated that while the MDP presents clear policies to the public, its opponents offer nothing but "black bags" of cash.
He made these remarks while speaking at an MDP rally held in K. Maafushi on Saturday night.
MP Ziyad stated that the ongoing visits to various islands demonstrate that the MDP remains a vibrant and active force. He further noted that the policies introduced by the MDP continue to be evident across the islands of the Maldives.
Maafushi was once known primarily as the island that houses the prison. However, today there is no country in the world that does not recognize Maafushi, all thanks to a single policy. This is why I say that the MDP approaches the people with concrete policies; what we offer are strategic visions.Hussain Ziyad, Member of Parliament for the Vaikaradhoo constituency.
Ziyad stated that the opposition's only tools are a "black bag" and a notebook. He further remarked that it remains unclear whether this represents the party's policy or its underlying culture.
I am uncertain whether this is a matter of policy or established culture, but they carry a black bag and a notepad to facilitate employment; whatever actions are taken are driven by the contents of that bag.Hussain Ziyad, Member of Parliament for the Vaikaradhoo constituency.
Responding to the opposition PNC’s campaign slogan urging citizens to "vote for the bird," the member countered by likening the members of the People’s Majlis to birds trapped within a cage. In this regard, Ziyad stated that members of Parliament currently hold no real power or influence.
Ziyad has therefore urged the public to remain vigilant and take these factors into consideration when casting their votes.
The member further stated that the current administration has failed to achieve any significant progress, noting that they are merely completing projects initiated by the previous government. Ziyad added that despite this, officials do nothing in Parliament and other platforms but shift blame onto the "former government."
