Male' City Mayor Adam Azim has called on the residents of the capital to reject what he described as a government of lies.
Azim made these remarks while speaking in Central Henveiru constituency during the MDP's ongoing door-to-door campaign activity.
Azim stated that the MDP's objective is to engage with as many citizens as possible to brief them on the country's current situation and financial standing. He further noted that the MDP's opponents have failed to fulfill their promises, a fact he believes is now evident to the public.
Everyone is well aware that these are not genuine pledges, but blatant lies. The Maldivian people recognize that, even now, these remain nothing more than broken promises. Therefore, I call upon the residents of Male' to say "no" to this government of deception.Male' City Mayor Adam Azim
Highlighting the falsehoods being spread by the current administration, Azim stated that there is no reason to vote for a group that relies so heavily on deceit.
Furthermore, Azim stated that the MDP is a party that approaches the public with clear policies and a commitment to fulfilling its promises. He added that history has proven the MDP to be a party that serves all citizens without discrimination.
Azim stated that the various policies introduced by the MDP are formulated with the primary objective of benefiting the entire citizenry.
Azim further stated that supporting the current administration is equivalent to claiming that development projects are progressing across the country, whereas the reality is quite the opposite. He noted that projects in various islands have, in fact, come to a standstill.
Azim stated that he strongly urges all residents of the Henveiru West constituency to turn out and vote for the MDP candidates. He further noted that these candidates would closely monitor the concerns of the people and advocate for their interests within the council.
