Several employees of the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) have reported that they have yet to receive their salaries, despite the month of January coming to a close.
Employees who spoke to RaajjeMV stated that some staff members only received their salaries after the start of this month. Sources citing employees further noted that, as of February 5th, several staff members had still not received their salary payments.
Efforts to obtain a comment from the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) regarding this matter were unsuccessful. However, reliable sources indicate that the company began processing salary payments on Wednesday night. Additionally, reports have circulated that some employees were informed they would receive their pay by the 15th of the month. As relevant officials from WAMCO have not commented on the situation, the exact reason for the delay remains unclear. It also remains uncertain how many employees are yet to receive their salaries.
While it is noted that state-owned enterprise employees have not previously faced delays in receiving their salaries by the end of the month, issues have also surfaced regarding the irregular deposit of pension contributions for staff at several government companies, including WAMCO.
