In the K-Park Residency fraud case, Hassan “Manday” Mamdhooh has been sentenced to 397 years in prison after being found guilty of 94 charges by the Criminal Court, marking the longest prison sentence ever handed down in the Maldives.
Out of more than 100 charges filed against Manday, the Criminal Court ruled on 27 December 2025 that 94 charges had been proven.
In the verdict delivered on Saturday, the court stated that Manday was found guilty of 46 counts of theft, 44 counts of fraudulent acts, three counts of knowingly providing false documents with intent to deceive, and one count of money laundering.
During Tuesday’s sentencing, the court imposed a total of 397 years of imprisonment: 368 years for the 46 theft charges, calculated at eight years for each count; 14 years for the 44 fraudulent acts; 15 years for money laundering; and 18 months for providing false documents across three charges.
After deducting the time already spent in custody, Judge Ali Nadeem sentenced Manday to a total of 397 years, six months, and 20 days.
In addition to the prison term, Manday was fined MVR 30 million for money laundering and ordered to repay all victims who lost money in the scheme.
The court also ordered the confiscation of his penthouse and all possessions inside it by the state.
