The agenda for the upcoming sitting of the People’s Majlis, scheduled for Thursday, has been released and includes key matters such as the special audit report on Fenaka Corporation Limited.
During the session, MP for Madaveli constituency Mohamed Shameez, from the main ruling People's National Congress (PNC), is set to introduce a resolution urging swift investigations and action regarding the corruption detailed in the audit conducted by the Auditor General’s Office.
A debate on this resolution is also scheduled to take place.
Also on Thursday’s agenda is the Re-employment Bill, submitted by MP for Guraidhoo constituency Hanaan Mohamed Rasheed, who is also a member of the ruling coalition. The bill is expected to be taken up for debate during the sitting.
In addition to legislative matters, the agenda includes several presidential nominations: the proposed appointment of four members to the National Integrity Commission (NIC), two members to the Tax Appeal Tribunal, and one member to the Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM).
