President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the King of Saudi Arabia and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the government of Saudi Arabia for the exceptional hospitality, services, and facilities provided to Hajj pilgrims, Umrah pilgrims, and anyone visiting Saudi Arabia with the intention of visiting the Two Holy Mosques.

Taking to social media platform ‘X’ in Arabic, the Maldivian leader described the kindness extended by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as sublime services that are difficult to even imagine, and as tireless hard work.

Muizzu went on to pray for the generous people of Saudi Arabia to always be granted the ability to serve Islam. He also wished for them to be rewarded with the good deeds and rewards of this benevolent service.

In the prayer for Saudi Arabia's protection made in the Maldivian president’s post, he wished for King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to have long life and complete health and well-being. The Maldivian president has also asked for Saudi Arabia to be protected from the dangers of the envious, treacherous, and deceitful, and for the country to maintain peace, tranquility, and security, granting happiness and honor.

The Saudi government has always been facilitating many conveniences for Maldivian pilgrims. Especially with the inclusion of the Maldives in the Makkah Route Initiative with special permission, the burdens of travel for Maldivian pilgrims have been greatly eased starting from 2025. In addition to this, several services have been further facilitated in the places where Maldivian pilgrims stay to complete the Hajj rituals.
