Bank of Maldives (BML) has awarded a fund of MVR 200,000 to the winners of the Bank’s community project.
BML's Manager of Public Relations, Mohamed Saeed says the program was started with the intention of fostering projects that will have a lasting impact on the community, adding that the bank will support 10 such projects this year.
Saeed said they had opened up voting for all the projects they had received over the period.
“Our CSR Committee considered the projects with the biggest impact on the society. We also took into account project cost, feasibility,” Saeed said.
Saeed said the Committee had decided upon “Rent a Ride” project, which had won the most public votes and the recipient of the MVR 200,000 fund.
BML’s ‘Aharenge Bank’, is a nationwide campaign to underline the bank’s commitment to, and bond with, the communities and people of Maldives.
