Summons notice published
Four summoned in connection with drug cases
The case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Department
The suspects are to present themselves at 2pm on June 23
They are summoned for questioning

Four individuals accused of being involved in cases of drugs, have been publicly summoned.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Thursday publicized the summons notice for four men, wanted in connection with an ongoing probe into separate cases of drugs.

MPS revealed that the case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Department.

The police institution revealed that the summons notice was publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate the suspects and handover their summons notice have been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track them down.

The summons was issued in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police while investigating criminal cases.

Summoned are Hassan Nabeel, 43 and native to Kanduhulhudhoo island of Gaaf Alif atoll, Ibrahim Rashad, 41 and native to Madifushi island of Thaa atoll, Yoonus Abdul Rahman, 24 and native to Gemanafushi island of Gaaf Alif atoll and Ali Shameem, 58 and registered in capital Malé City.

They are summoned for questioning in connection with the ongoing probes.

The suspects are to present themselves to the Sergeant Adam Haleem Crime Investigation Building or the police station closest to them at 2pm on June 23.
