Maldives Police Service (MPS) is locating a man required to be presented before the Criminal Court.
In a publication on Sunday, the police institution revealed that the Criminal Court has ordered MPS to locate the man, who is needed to be presented before the court, in connection with a case submitted at the court.
MPS is required to locate the man and take him into their custody before presenting him before court.
Being sought in connection with the court order is Mohamed Ubaadath Hussain, 29 and native to Hithadhoo district of southernmost Addu City.
The man is being located in connection with a case of cannabis trafficking.
His details were publicized as efforts to summon him to court have been to avail so far.
MPS is requested to take him into their custody and present him to court at 1pm on May 13.
The public has been urged to reach out to the Police Custodial Department through 9991442 if any information on the whereabouts of the suspect, is attained.
The police institution also took the opportunity to express gratitude for the immense public assistance and support extended in connection with such cases.
