Colorful Eid-Al-Adha festivities are scheduled to kick off in three islands this year.
The Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage invited proposals to collaborate for the Eid-Al-Adha festivities this year on Thursday.
As such, islands that wish to collaborate with the ministry for this year’s Eid-Al-Adha celebrations, have been invited to submit proposals
The ministry revealed that they will be selecting the islands they will be kicking off Eid festivities in, based on the activities planned, expenses to be incurred by the island council and what the activities they have planned free-of-charge. Three best proposals will be chosen by the ministry.
In any island wishes to collaborate with the ministry for this year’s Eid-Al-Adha festivities, they have been instructed to prepare their proposals ande-mailthem before 1pm, May 9.
Abbas Mohamed, the Deputy Director of the ministry’s Events and Outreach Section, has been appointed as the head of this task.

According to the calendar, this year’s Eid-Al-Adha falls on 17 June 2024.
