Majlis polls: EC announces changes to polling booth locations
 
The parliamentary polls are slated for 21 April 2024
 
EC revealed that the names, polling areas and the location of some ballot boxes have been revised
 
The revised locations have been publicized in the government gazette

Changes brought to the areas in which polling stations are to be set up for the fast-approaching parliamentary elections 2024, have been publicized.

The Elections Commission of Maldives (EC) publicized the changes on Sunday.

As such, EC revealed that the names, polling areas and the location of some ballot boxes or polling booths have been revised, for the parliamentary elections slated for April.

The names have been changed for the ballot boxes; Hulhumalé South – 1, Hulhumalé South – 2, Hulhumalé South – 3, Hulhumalé South – 4, Hulhumalé South – 5, Hulhumalé South – 6.

Some of the ballot boxes that have been moved are:

  • West Henveiru – 5
  • Faafu atoll, Malé – 2
  • Gaaf Alif atoll, Malé – 5
  • Gaaf Alif atoll, Malé – 6
  • Gaaf Alif atoll, Malé – 1
  • Gaaf Alif atoll, Malé – 2
  • Hulhumalé Phase I, ‘Ehenihen-2’
  • Hulhumalé Phase I, ‘Ehenihen-5’
  • Hulhumalé Phase I, ‘Ehenihen-11’
  • Hulhumalé Phase II, ‘Ehenihen-3’.

The revised locations have been publicized in the government gazette.

The parliamentary polls are slated for 21 April 2024.
