Maldives’ oldest telecommunications provider, Dhiraagu, has revealed its earnings for this year’s second quarter.
The company had made a gross profit of MVR 209 million. This is 34 million less than that 243 million it made in this year’s first quarter.
While Dhiraagu made a total of 643.8 million in the first quarter, it had only generated 626 million in this one.
Dhiraagu will be distributing dividends of MVR 2.75 per share, while it had distributed 3.21 in the last quarter.
The company’s proceedings had previously been on a steady rise, with it having garnered MVR 2.5 billion in 2016 and 2.2 billion in 2015 – an increase of at least 10 percent.
It had generated gross profits of 840 million in 2016 and 725 million in 2015.
