Dhiraagu has launched its fibre broadband services in Dharavandhoo Island of Baa Atoll.
The service was launched at a ceremony held in Dharavandhoo on Thursday, with a promotion offering free connection for all customers who subscribe to any fibre broadband.
Dharavandhoo is the first island in Baa Atoll to receive Dhiraagu fibre broadband internet service.
Fibre Broadband is the latest advancement in broadband technology, with the fastest internet speed of 100 Mbps and the largest package with 1 TB to homes and businesses.
Dhiraagu fibre broadband services are now available to Malé, Hulhumalé, Villimalé, Laamu Atoll Gan, Kaafu Atoll Maafushi and now Dharavandhoo, via fibre-optic cable.
