Council members of Muraidhoo island of Haa Alif atoll have urged the government to address the housing shortages.

This was done during a meeting President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu held with members of the island’s council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) on Sunday.

The meeting saw discussions revolving around critical needs and development goals of the island community including fast-tracking ongoing development projects, addressing the housing crisis as well as establishing sports facilities for the youth community.

Members of the island’s WDC expressed confidence in the Muizzu administration, in making good on pledges made to the people.

Listening to these concerns, the president assured that he would seek amicable solutions to tackle the issues raised at the meeting, in consultation with relevant authorities.

Members of the president’s Cabinet of Ministers in attendance shared the latest updates of the Muizzu administration’s efforts to tackle issues facing the island community.
