The President’s Office has published a book on the president’s presidential campaign remarks and pledges.

The book was publicized on the website of the President’s Office on Saturday.

The book contains remarks by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during the presidential elections held last year, as a candidate of the now-ruling coalition consisting of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and People’s National Congress (PNC).

The president traveled to 153 inhabited islands and all cities across the Maldives in 53 days under his then-opposition-coalition-endorsed campaign theme ‘Dhivehinge Raajje’.

Muizzu delivered speeches regarding his vision and policies for the future of the country, at multiple events linked to the elections, on 205 occasions.

Earlier, Muizzu had pledged to publicize all his remarks during the presidential election campaign, as a book.

The 1,024-page book that is divided into categories for easy browsing, details the significant pledges he made during his speeches.

In addition to this, the book contains photos of his visits and of him engaging with the island communities as well as the activities held as part of his visits.

This is the first time a president of Maldives has released a book containing campaign speeches and pledges made to his people.

This is also the first book ever published on a president’s visions, goals and aspirations for the country.

The book is available for download in PDF format, on the official website of the President’s Office.

Further, government institutions, schools as well as libraries will be equipped with printed copies of this book within February.
