A group of people have been rescued from a sinking boat.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the boat was traveling 19 miles from Alif atoll when it sank.
The sinking boat was spotted by another boat traveling nearby.
The three individuals onboard the sinking vessel at the time were rescued by crewmen onboard a Fuel Supply Maldives (FSM) vessel.
The police institution revealed that the incident occurred at around 06:21pm on Saturday.
Onboard the sinking boat were a Maldivian and two expatriates, who have been reported safe.
They have since been brought to capital Malé City.
MPS went on to reveal that the boat had fully submerged.
