Mohammed Naail Hafeez was named the Most Promising Journalist
The 2022 Journalism Awards ceremony
Nine journalists took home awards at the Maldives Media Council (MMC)'s annual Journalism Awards 2022.
The 2022 Journalism Awards ceremony was held on Saturday.
During the ceremony, Ahmed Naaif took home the Best Journalist title, while Mohammed Naail Hafeez was named the Most Promising Journalist.
The Best Journalist award was presented by Vice President, Hussain Mohamed Latheef.
MMC noted that more than 35,000 SMS were received for the Best Journalist award.
The ceremony also saw the presenting of the Lifetime Achievement Award to, Abdulla Rameez and Ahmed Zahir.
Furthermore, during the ceremony, Saeed Ahmed was awarded the Encouragement Award for his valuable services in the field of journalism.
The new logo of the Maldives Media Council was also launched during the ceremony.
