The new Police Board has been constituted.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu constituted the new Police Board on Thursday.
The new Police Board was constituted under Section 75(a) of the Police Service Act (Law No. 34/2020).
According to the President’s Office, appointments made by President Muizzu include Thaa atoll Hirilandhoo native Ahmed Shareef and Aishath Noora Mohamed.
The board also comprises Ali Naseer Gasim, Seenu Maradhoo-Feydhoo native Ahmed Azeem and Haa Alif atoll Hoarafushi island’s Ahmed Saudhy as Professionals from a technical field.
Further, Malé City native Hamid Abdul Ghafoor was selected as a member of the board from the general public alongside Safa Shareef, native to Hulhudhoo district of southernmost Addu City.
