Pink Ribbon Run-Walk
This year’s ‘Pink Ribbon Run-Walk' has wrapped up successfully.
In collaboration with the Cancer Society of Maldives, Bank of Maldives (BML) successfully concluded the ‘Pink Ribbon Run-Walk' 2023 with hundreds of participants across the archipelago nation, on Saturday evening.
The event was held across outlying islands and Hulhumalé in the Greater Malé Region.
The event was held with the purpose of raising awareness and funds for cancer screening and other cancer-related treatments, as October is marked as breast cancer awareness month.
The Cancer Society of Maldives continues to carry out initiatives to increase cancer awareness and provide psychosocial support to cancer patients and their families through the financial support of the country’s national bank.
BML will also be extending support to the Cancer Society to hold cancer screening programs in selected islands.
The country’s national bank has been supporting the Cancer Society and the ‘Pink Ribbon Run-Walk' since 2016, as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility policy.
